Our Schofields, Alex Avenue Early Learning Centre features stimulating spaces designed to encourage lifelong learning from the very beginning.
Accommodating children from six weeks to six years old, each vibrant indoor learning environment is filled with age-appropriate resources and customised learning spaces to develop essential skills in areas ranging from numeracy, music and art to dramatic play and literacy.
In the inviting outdoor learning environment, children can explore independently or develop their social skills through a range of planned learning experiences and problem-solving challenges.
Our sector leading educators teach from a balanced program of carefully planned play-based learning with time for child-led learning to help children improve their self-confidence, coordination and teamwork skills in a fun setting where they feel comfortable and supported.
Children up to age three participate in the bespoke Evolution Program, while those between three and five join the Transition to School Program.
Nutritious meals and snacks are enjoyed 5 times daily, and specially prepared by the on-site cook.
All nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).

Elissa is the Centre Manager at Schofields Alex Avenue, bringing with her a deep passion for early childhood education and over a decade of experience in the field. Her journey began in 2009 as a trainee, and through dedication and hard work, she advanced to roles including Room Leader and Assistant Centre Manager before stepping into her current position as Centre Manager.
Elissa holds both a Certificate III and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, which have provided her with a robust foundation in early education principles. Her educational background, combined with her extensive practical experience, equips her to lead with both expertise and empathy.
Her vision for the centre is around the belief that Early Childhood Education plays a vital role in setting the groundwork for future learning. She is dedicated to working collaboratively with families and the wider community to create a positive and supportive environment. Understanding that families are a child’s first and most important educators, Elissa is committed to fostering a partnership that benefits both the children and their families.
In her role as Centre Manager, Elissa is focused on recognising and nurturing the voices of children, ensuring that their learning experiences are guided by their interests and needs. She is also dedicated to supporting her staff by acknowledging their strengths and providing training and assistance as needed.
Outside of work, Elissa finds joy in being a mum, a role she treasures deeply as she watches her son grow and flourish.
