Welcome to Young Academics Dapto.
Located in the heart of the Illawarra region, Young Academics Dapto is a purpose-built early learning centre designed to provide high-quality care and education for up to 86 children, aged six weeks to five years.
Our centre features four well-appointed learning rooms, Nursery, Toddler, Junior Preschool, and Preschool, each thoughtfully designed to support age-appropriate development and ensure a smooth progression through each stage of early learning.
At Young Academics Dapto, our dedicated team of educators is committed to creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children feel valued, engaged, and inspired to learn. We believe in nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and helping them build the skills they need for a confident start to school and life.
Purpose-Built Environments for Every Age
Our indoor learning spaces are bright, welcoming and equipped with state-of-the-art security, offering children the comfort and safety to explore and grow. Each room is tailored to meet the developmental needs of its age group, fostering independence, creativity, and collaboration.
Our outdoor play areas encourage physical activity, imaginative play, and connection with nature. These spaces evolve with the seasons and provide a safe, enriching environment where children can move, explore, and interact.
A Curriculum Designed to Grow With Your Child
Our curriculum is built around hands-on experiences and play-based learning that nurtures intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. It includes:
• Early literacy and numeracy
• Creative arts and physical activity
• Social-emotional learning
• STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) exploration
Children aged up to three participate in our Evolution Program, which supports foundational learning and early development. Those aged three to five progress into our Transition to School Program, preparing them for formal schooling with confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Healthy eating habits are cultivated from a young age. At Young Academics, we provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks prepared on site. Our menus are carefully curated to offer a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein. We accommodate dietary restrictions and work closely with families to ensure every child’s individual needs are met.

Lucia’s journey into early childhood education began with a natural connection to children, a quality that was often recognised throughout her early adulthood. This instinctive bond with children led her to pursue a career dedicated to giving every child a strong foundation for their future.
In her early career, Lucia worked alongside experienced leaders who guided her development, particularly in providing education and care to children from families with low socio-economic backgrounds. This experience fuelled her passion for ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, receive the best possible start in life.
Lucia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Care (0-5 years) and a Diploma of Frontline Management. These qualifications, combined with her hands-on experience, have shaped her holistic approach to early childhood education.
As a Centre Manager, Lucia envisions her service as a cornerstone of the local community, led by a team of passionate educators. She strives to create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn while reaching their individual milestones. Lucia is dedicated to fostering an inclusive space that feels like a true extension of the children’s homes, where families are supported, valued, and part of a collaborative journey towards their child’s development and success.
