Located in the heart of South West Sydney, Young Academics Prestons is a purpose-built early learning centre featuring four vibrant learning rooms designed to cater to the needs of up to 80 children aged six weeks to six years.
At Young Academics, we’re committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn. Our team of experienced educators at Prestons deliver carefully crafted programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and social connection, laying a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Our indoor environments are equipped with state of the art security measures to ensure the safety of your child at all times. Our classrooms are designed to be inviting and comfortable, creating a conductive atmosphere for focused learning and creative exploration. Outdoor play spaces are designed to encourage physical activity, imaginative play and social interaction. They are equipped with age-appropriate equipment and safety features.
Healthy eating habits are cultivated from a young age. At Young Academics, we provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks prepared on site. Our menus are carefully curated to offer a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein. We accommodate dietary restrictions and work closely with families to ensure every child’s individual needs are met.
A Curriculum That Grows With Your Child
Our curriculum is tailored to suit the unique needs and interests of each child. It includes early literacy, numeracy, creative arts, physical activity, and social-emotional development. We champion hands-on learning, with integrated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) experiences that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Children aged up to three participate in our Evolution Program, designed to support early development and discovery. Children aged three to five join our Transition to School Program, which helps them build confidence and school readiness.

April was inspired to pursue a career in early childhood education by her passion for nurturing a love of lifelong learning in young children and building meaningful connections with families and the local community. Witnessing children’s growth and development is the highlight of April’s work, as she takes pride in contributing to their confidence, creativity, and ability to build positive relationships.
With 16 years of experience in early childhood education and care, April has worked across various roles to support children’s learning and development. In addition to her hands on experience, she has received her Trainer and Assessor’s certification. She has also received both the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. This role has given her the opportunity to mentor and guide aspiring educators, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care and education for young children.
April’s vision for the centre is to create a warm, welcoming environment that feels like a home for children and their families, the centre will be a place where every child feels safe, valued, and supported in their learning journey. She is committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging, where all cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives are represented, and every voice is heard and respected.
