Our vision

A family-owned business established in 2009, Young Academics was built on a commitment to positively contribute to the foundations of each child’s lifelong learning. Each day, we work respectfully and collaboratively towards our shared vision:

Your Child,
Our Commitment.

Our centres provide learning environments that are dynamic and inclusive. Our passionate and professional educators teach through a play-based approach to learning, promoting holistic development, with children at the core of our early learning education programs.

Young Academics is a name that families can trust, where our people thrive, and our children flourish. We understand the value of positive partnerships with our families and the wider community, and the significance early education plays on the first five years of a child’s life.

Our values

At Young Academics, family is important to us, which is why it remains our number one core value. Well over a decade after we were founded, we continue to be a family-owned and operated business. Our family approach and focus on delivering a nurturing and supportive early learning environment has enabled our continuous growth across NSW without compromising the quality or dedication of our care. Our four core values provide a framework for our daily practices and overall purpose, enabling us to provide the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.

We are Family
We want Young Academics to always feel like a home away from home, so we keep family values at the heart of everything we do. Together, our valued teams strive to accomplish our common goal of providing an exceptional experience to our children and our families.
Positively Proactive
Always on the front foot, we are constantly seeking ways to improve what we do for our children and families. Our team are forward thinking and innovative in everything they do.
Passionately Professional
We love looking after children – it is that simple. As passionate professionals that is what drives us to ensure we always implement best practice in everything we do - from qualifications to processes, programming and everything in between.
Open and Honest
At Young Academics we value honesty and openness in all interactions. Trust is everything in childcare, and we work hard to earn it. Whether we are communicating with families or with each other, we are always accountable, truthful, respectful and responsive.

Child safe organisation

Creating a child safe environment is a responsibility that is shared across the Young Academics team. A culture of safety starts with our leaders who champion this and ensure that accountability is upheld by all employees and the Child Safe Standards are embedded into our daily practices. Our industry leading senior management team operates with a strong governance and ensures that openness, transparency, inclusivity and accountability are maintained across the board, encompassing three key areas:

organisational culture

Young Academics is committed to upholding the Child Safe Standards in our day-to-day operations. We provide ongoing learning and professional development to all educators and staff to ensure they have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of their legal and ethical responsibilities for keeping children safe and protecting their rights.

Our Evolution Program and Transition to School Program are underpinned by a rights-based approach to learning. We recognise the different ways in which children communicate and our educators are responsive and adaptable to each individual child’s needs and approach to learning. Through our programs, children are made to feel safe, supported and informed, and actively participate in their own education and care by being involved in shared decision-making throughout their day.

Our families and communities feel confident in knowing that the safety of the children in our care is always at the forefront of our decision making as a premier early education and care provider.
