Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 ½ cups Greek yoghurt
Method
- Place the oats, milk and yoghurt in a large container that has an airtight seal. Stir well, cover and refrigerate to soak overnight
- In the morning, divide oats among four bowls. Add toppings of your choice and serve.
Variations
- Banana Split
Slice 2 bananas and a handful of strawberries. Top each bowl of basic overnight oats with fruit, 1 tablespoon shredded coconut and 1 tablespoon of crushed pistachios. - Tropical Coconut Oats
Slice 2 bananas, 2 kiwifruit and 1 handful of frozen mango. Top each bowl of basic overnight oats with a few raspberries and scatter with 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut.
Tip
For a warm porridge, heat up the overnight oats mixture either in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute or on the stove until the oats reach a creamy consistency. Add your toppings of choice after heating.
