Our Schofields, Alex Avenue Early Learning Centre features stimulating spaces designed to encourage lifelong learning from the very beginning.
Accommodating children from six weeks to six years old, each vibrant indoor learning environment is filled with age-appropriate resources and customised learning spaces to develop essential skills in areas ranging from numeracy, music and art to dramatic play and literacy.
In the inviting outdoor learning environment, children can explore independently or develop their social skills through a range of planned learning experiences and problem-solving challenges.
Our sector leading educators teach from a balanced program of carefully planned play-based learning with time for child-led learning to help children improve their self-confidence, coordination and teamwork skills in a fun setting where they feel comfortable and supported.
Children up to age three participate in the bespoke Evolution Program, while those between three and five join the Transition to School Program.
Nutritious meals and snacks are enjoyed 5 times daily, and specially prepared by the on-site cook.
All nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).
Tyla has worked in the Early Childhood sector for over 7 years and is now the centre manager at Young Academics Schofields. She is committed to the growth and development of children through learning. Tyla prioritises understanding the needs and interests of children in her care and fostering a family-friendly community, making her an asset to our team.

My motivation for getting into the early childhood sector is my passion for being around young children. They make me happy, and I want to be a part of their growth and development and know that I have positively impacted them in some way.
Young Academics provides support and ongoing growth opportunities that are available to staff. I am grateful to have started as a room leader and quickly became an educational leader, assistant centre manager, and now the centre manager.
What I love the most about working in the Schofields community is its family-friendly feeling and the willingness everyone shows to help each other out.
I bring passion, commitment, and dedication to my centre and the children in my care. I always strive to better my practices and support the children to achieve their milestones and goals, which is why our centre is loved by its children, families, and educators.
