We’re so proud to celebrate the incredible creativity and cultural curiosity of our Young Academics Hoxton Park children, whose artworks were recently showcased at the 33rd Annual Mil-Pra AECG Exhibition and Prizes, held at the Casula Powerhouse Museum.
This annual exhibition celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, creativity, and connection to community and this year, our talented Hoxton Park preschoolers made their mark in the most inspiring way.
Our Preschool Room proudly took home the top prize in their category, with additional wonderful submissions from our Junior Preschool, Nursery, and Toddler Rooms.
Each artwork was a reflection of the children’s learning journey, inspired by storytelling, connection to nature, and respect for Aboriginal culture. Through guided discussions and creative exploration, our educators helped children express their understanding of identity, belonging, and the world around them.
The project showcased not only artistic skill but also the strong sense of cultural appreciation that is woven into our Young Academics educational programs.
The children’s artwork is currently being displayed at the Casula Powerhouse Museum, as part of the Mil-Pra AECG Exhibition, a proud moment for our centre, families, and community.
You can visit the exhibition to see these beautiful pieces in person and experience the creativity of young minds who are learning to express big ideas through art.
