Safe, Secure, Supported: How We Prioritise Safety at Young Academics

At Young Academics, safety is more than a checklist, it’s woven into everything we do. When families entrust us with their children, we take that responsibility seriously. That’s why every decision we make is guided by one principle: your child’s wellbeing comes first.

Supervision That Never Switches Off

From arrival to home time, our educators maintain active supervision at all times, indoors, outdoors, during transitions, and even during rest time. We carefully manage educator-to-child ratios to ensure every child receives the attention they need, and no corner of our centre goes unseen. Educators are trained to identify risks, respond quickly, and maintain calm, controlled environments, all while engaging children in meaningful, play-based learning.

Secure Access

Our centres feature secure entry systems, with authorised drop-off and pick-up procedures. We know how important it is for families to feel confident that their child is safe, so we have systems that ensure only approved individuals can enter or collect. Each centre also has clearly marked emergency exits, gated areas, and secure fencing that keeps children safely within our learning environments.

Daily Safety Checks

Every day at every centre, we carry out detailed safety inspections across indoor and outdoor spaces. Our teams check for:

  • Trip hazards or loose equipment
  • Safe positioning of furniture and resources
  • Secure gates and locks

Educators are regularly trained on WHS (Work Health & Safety) policies, child protection, and emergency procedures.
