About Smeaton Grange childcare centre
Strategically located in the heart of the suburb, our Smeaton Grange centre is located just off Camden Valley Way and Narellan Road, providing infant care, day care and preschool programs. Custom-designed and resource-rich, it consists of a series of interconnected rooms, encouraging a social dynamic and a mix of individual and group learning.
Indoors, each space is fitted with engaging activities such as wooden-block equipment for building, a play kitchen, reading corners and a dedicated craft area. Features of the outdoor area include a cubby house, sandpit, and green lawns that are ideal for play. Just beyond the fence, a heritage-protected creekbed gives children an opportunity to interact with the natural environment.

From the moment I walked in the doors at YA Smeaton Grange I knew this centre was going to be the one for our boys. As a first time parent seeking Childcare it was important that the centre that we chose would ensure that my children were safe and their social and emotional wellbeing were at the forefront of everything they did. My experiences with the centre have been beyond what I ever expected. The centre is always clean and orderly and the children’s work is proudly displayed. The staff are amazing, educators are warm, professional and genuinely love the children. No request is ever too big and they are always willing and available to chat about our children and support whatever is going on at home (e.g. toilet training, sleep transitions etc). The management at all levels has been supportive and attentive of my needs as a parent. I am also really proud of the fact that our children go to a centre that focuses a great deal on community involvement as well as giving back to others through fundraising events etc. Most of all, it is more than comforting to see how happy, engaged, loved and safe our boys are at the centre. They look forward to going to 'school' to be with their friends as well as learn new things and have fun being a 'child'.
Young Academics Smeaton Grange has provided my son with an avenue to thrive in his development whilst enhancing his social skills. I have always been a sceptic about day care but this centre has completely changed my view and I am extremely happy with the care they provide. The staff are all very accomodating and friendly and continue to make myself, my husband and my son feel very welcome. It's nice to know that he is loved and well cared for when I'm at work and I see that through their interaction with him when I drop him off and pick him up and through what I can view on Kinderloop. A wonderful team with an enthusiasm for young child development. They should all be commended.
My husband and I needed full time day care for our son and started him at Young Academics when he was 8 months old. From the first time we walked through the Smeaton Grange complex to his orientation day, we were met with friendly faces and answers to all of our questions. We were extremely impressed with the level of care they provided, down to the daily updates and indepth run down of what our son ate, when he slept - even how many nappies he had changed! My son has grown to love the carers and always enjoys being dropped off in the morning. This gives us such amazing peace of mind, to know that our son is in an environment where he is comfortable, safe and enjoying his day. The daily activities he gets involved with are also great and he has developed so much in both language and behaviour. I really love the theme days they do, like pajama day and St Patricks day. However my absolute favourites is when they open up the centre for special occasions, such as Easter or Mothers day.
I cannot recommend Young Academics Smeaton Grange highly enough. They are true professionals and have my son's best interest at heart.
Thank you, Miss Carmen, for the amazing job you do in the kitchen preparing our kids meals! It’s such a challenge cooking for little ones. Jackson is beginning to eat much better now & could not stop talking about the yummy couscous & chicken dish he ate yesterday!
Both of my children have been going to Young Academics – Smeaton Grange for a few months now. Having moved interstate, it was a daunting experience for my girls to change centres again. All of the educators at Young Academics have been so nurturing and caring towards my children, helping them to settle into their new life here in Sydney. The centre is always beautifully presented and my children always tell me at the end of each day how much fun they have had. Thank you Young Academics (Smeaton Grange) for making me feel at ease when leaving my girls in your care!
