Early Learning Matters Week: Back-and-forth drawing game

Youngacademics, 28 Jul 2021

This is a fun game for both children and adults to get involved in! The back-and-forth drawing game allows each person to build off of the previous person’s drawings.

What you'll need:
  • Paper

  • Drawing tools, such as pencils, crayons, or textas

Instructions:
  1. One person starts the drawing and tells a story of what it is that they are drawing

  2. They then pass the paper to the next person, who adds their own drawing to continue the story

  3. The paper is then passed back and forth, continuing the artwork until the story is finished.

Try it for yourself and show us your creations by uploading to social media, and tagging #youngacademics.
